A white room, black type, and six hyperreal blooms. Nothing on a page dressed in this look is framed, outlined or given a keyline: the two materials are frosted glass standing off the wall and a well set into it, and depth is the only state there is.

The rule that makes it work is that no colour is ever invented. Every colour on the page comes out of one of the six plates, and one of them at a time is allowed to be the loudest thing in the room.

It refuses: frames and keylines, drop shadows as decoration, gradients, rounded structural boxes, stock photography, invented colour, a second accent, and any second voice on the page.
